Acceptance of order - our contract
When you place an order on our website, you will view an order confirmation page and receive an order confirmation email from The Really Useful Gift Co. This page and email confirm receipt of your order and its details, they do not form a contract to a sale at this point. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product/products, which is accepted by us at the point when we debit your card and despatch the goods to you.
Authorising orders
When you place an order on our website please make sure that your Account address is the address your credit/debit card is registered to. Your card authorisation process is checked against your Account address and if it is not correct your card will be declined and your order delayed until we receive the correct details from you. To prevent fraud, delivery to an alternative address is not possible on 1st orders. We must deliver to the registered cardholders address. Delays may occur while extra security checks are carried out especially on 1st orders. We reserve the right to only send first orders to the registered payment card address.
Pricing
Try as we might, there may be occasions when a product will be mispriced on our website. Please be assured that we verify prices as part of our despatch procedure. If a product's correct price is lower than advertised on our site you will be charged the lower price. If a product's correct price is higher than advertised on our site, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before despatch or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. Prices currently include VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable.
Delivery
UK orders are sent on a 3-5 working day service and can be dependant on our friendly courier drivers and postal workers.
We only charge you delivery once per order, even if we send you more than one parcel. (The full delivery charge is charged on the first parcel despatched)
Postage and packaging
The cost of postage and packing for items ordered is displayed automatically in your basket during the order process but for a complete breakdown the costs are as follows:
FREE P&P for UK orders
For European deliveries we calculate the postage and packaging rates per item ordered.
£10 for the first item and £5 per additional item ordered.
Due to higher shipping rates, all orders to the CHANNEL ISLANDS will be charged at the EU rate. Your shipping charge may be altered manually to represent this.
For overseas deliveries outside of Europe we calculate the postage and packaging rates per item ordered.
£20 for the first item and £10 per additional item ordered.
For an additional £10.00 postage, we offer an Express service for UK Mainland only, which will guarantee IN STOCK items to be shipped on the same day on orders placed before 1pm. PLEASE CALL 0844 887 2345 TO ARRANGE.
European and Worldwide delivery can take up to 14 days after being despatched and are subject to customs clearance.
If there is going to be a delay for any reason we will let you know. All quoted delivery times are based on standard working days i.e. Mon - Fri (excluding public holidays etc).

Most packages will require a signature on delivery, so please give us a delivery address where someone will be in to sign for the parcel (work, neighbour, friend etc). All deliveries will be made Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
All 'In Stock' orders that are received before 1pm, should be despatched from our warehouse the same day via Royal Mail or our couriers City Link (UK only), subject to security checks and payment clearances.
Customs
When ordering mail-order goods from The Really Useful Gift Co. for delivery overseas, you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your Country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you, we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they will be. Customs policies vary widely from Country to Country and you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from The Really Useful Gift Co., you are considered the importer and must comply with all law and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Payment
We accept most major credit and debit cards and we only process payment when an order is ready to be despatched. Please note, if you are paying with credit/debit cards we will obtain an initial authorisation code on receipt of your order if the item you ordered is not in stock.

For in stock items you can come down to our premises in Peasmarsh, Guildford and collect, PLEASE CALL 0844 887 2345 TO ARRANGE. We are open to customers from 9-5 during the week and 9-5 on Saturdays.

Use of images and product copy
The images and copy which appear in our catalogues and on our website are the copyright of The Really Useful Gift Co. They may not be used, copied or reproduced in any form whatsoever without our express written permission. We do allow our images to be used copyright free at a cost of £60 per image. Should these images be used without permission, we reserve the right to increase the charge to £100. Any enquiries please email customer.services@reallyusefulgiftco.com.
Catalogues
We automatically send out our own catalogues to all our customers. If you would like to stop receiving catalogues please write to us at the address above or email customer.services@reallyusefulgiftco.com. If however, you would like to receive our catalogues please email Customer Services as above or enter your details online.

We have taken as much care as possible to describe and portray items accurately. Slight variations in actual goods or colour may occur. We reserve the right to inform the customer of any incorrect information before payment is taken.
Credit Card Chargebacks
When you contact your credit card company to report a transaction as unknown or not authorised – this is known as a “chargeback”.
The name that will appear on your statement for any credit card transaction made with us will be Grand Prix Legends. It is very important you do not contact your credit card company and report this transaction as unknown to you if the order has been delivered and signed for. If you feel there is a problem with your order you must contact us in writing (letter or email) to resolve the problem. Cancelling the transaction with your credit card company will be considered theft or fraud and your details will be passed to the relevant authority for further investigation. This may result in us making a claim against you and could damage your credit rating.
If a transaction is charged back to you and proof of delivery is available, we reserve the right to either:
A) Re-charge the credit card you used to make the payment for the full amount, plus an additional £30 to cover our administration costs.
Or
B) Issue a claim via the appropriate legal service – This may affect your credit rating and leave CCJ’s against you.
If you request a chargeback after a refund has been issued, you will be liable for a charge of £30 to cover our administration costs and any charges made to us. Credit card protection regulations ensure your account is automatically credited when a chargeback is issued, If a refund has already been made, a further chargeback will be considered theft or fraud and appropriate legal action may be taken against you.
